Yarmouth Select Board member Joyce Flynn has issued an apology to residents for remarks she made near the end of Monday's meeting.

In a public statement, Flynn said when someone shouted an objection to hand counting votes, she made an unguarded comment.

Flynn says her voice was caught on video and misidentified as that of Town Clerk, Mary Maslowski, who was overseeing the vote count.

Flynn wants to clarify that she made the remark - not Ms. Maslowski and she apologizes for her expression of impatience.

Flynn says she remains committed to serving the residents of Yarmouth and ensuring that meetings are spaces where everyone feels valued and heard.
