Provincetown is not expecting significant coastal flooding from an approaching storm, but the town will be using the weather as a practice test for its new, deployable, coastal flood barriers.

The barriers will be set up in the Howland Street area of the East End from tonight's tide at 8 p.m. through Thursday morning.

Commercial Street will be closed from St. Anthony Street to Howland Street from noon today until ten-o'clock Thursday morning.

That section of Commercial Street will remain open for pedestrian traffic.

Public Works will post "No Parking" signs in the area and all parked vehicles must be moved by noon today.
