Chatham Police Body Camera Program Up And Running

Chatham Police have their body and cruiser camera program up and running.

The cameras went live in late August, with the department buying one camera for each of the 22 sworn town officers.

The system cost less than the town's 150-thousand-dollar appropriation, so there is extra money if additional cameras need to be purchased.

Police Chief Michael Anderson says there have already been cases where evidence was collected from the use of the cameras.
