Bail has been reduced in the case of former Oak Bluffs fire chief John Rose.

Rose's attorneys requested the ten-thousand dollars' bail he posted in January be dropped, and that he no longer have to wear a GPS monitor.

A Dukes County Superior Court judge agreed, noting Rose had no previous criminal record and did not consider him a flight risk.

Rose next appears in court on May 30th; prosecutors charged that Rose taped a sexual encounter with the alleged victim and did not tell her until later.
