Walshe Pleads Guilty In Art Fraud Case

A Cohasset man accused in the murder of his wife has been sentenced to prison in an art fraud case.

Brian Walshe pleaded guilty in 2021 to charges connected to the sale of two faked Andy Warhol paintings and will serve 37 months behind bars.

Prosecutors say 49-year-old Walshe took photos of the real paintings owned by a friend, then used these to sell replicas on eBay, and defrauded three victims out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Walshe also faces charges in the murder of his wife Ana at their Cape Cod home in 2023, plus additional counts of fraud, regarding his late father's estate.
