Cape Cod Hospital will become an official donor of human milk.
The hospital's Family Birthplace is joining Mothers' Milk Bank Northeast to serve as a holding center for donated milk.
The goal is to increase access and foster awareness of the need for this special milk.
Donors, after passing a health screening may drop off extra milk their babies do not require for shipment to the bank.
The hospital becomes the eighth donor location in Massachusetts.
