Trio Sentanced In Cape Cod Drug Operation

The Department of Justice says three members of a Cape Cod-based heroin-trafficking operation are being sentenced to decades in prison.

Edwin Otero of Hyannis, who allegedly led the drug ring, was sentenced to the longest prison term of 38 years.

The two other defendants were Justin Joseph and Anthony Basilici, both of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Prosecutors say the trio was involved in a violent kidnapping across state lines in 2019 involving a victim they believed was cooperating with law enforcement.
