Shell Fishing Ban Lifted At Chatham Harbor

A shell fishing ban is being lifted in Chatham Harbor.

The Cape Cod Chronicle reports town and state officials lifted the ban which was put in place last month for elevated concentrations of the toxin that causes "red tide."

The outbreak is believed to be the first to happen in Chatham since around 2006.

The shell fishing ban remains in effect for Pleasant Bay and its connected waterways.
