Steamship Authority Gets Federal Grant Money For New Terminal

The Steamship Authority is receiving a $2.5 million grant for a new ferry terminal in Woods Hole. General Manager Robert Davis says the Steamship Authority is one of the only public ferry systems in the U.S. to have its operations completely supported by fare collections and that any federal aid helps keep the cost of service as low as possible for travelers. The new terminal is part of an overall facilities upgrade costing over 60-million dollars.
