Wampanoag Casino Must Go Through Aquinnah Permit Process

It has taken nearly six years but a federal court judge has ruled that if the Wampanoag Indian Tribe wants to build a bingo hall on tribal land that it must first go through the permit process in the town of Aquinnah. 

The judge ruled that since the town would be impacted that they should have a say through the permitting process. The Indian Tribe has not commented yet.
