All Fuel Rods Removed From Pilgrim Nuclear Plant

The owners of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station have removed all fuel rods from the plant and have ceased all power operations.

Officials say that happened late Monday and has been certified to federal officials.

In the meantime, the state attorney general is still debating with federal officials whether the owner Entergy has enough in its trust fund to handle all financial issues that may develop down the road. There is no word on when that issue may be decided.
