The Hoxie House will open its doors for a day of free admission to celebrate its 350th year. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the historic home and ask questions of knowledgeable docents, who will be available throughout the day to provide insights and answer inquiries about the house’s history and significance. On this special day, professional artists will be creating open-air paintings on the Hoxie House lawn, and these beautiful pieces will be available for sale. To make the day even sweeter, we’ll be offering cake to the first guests who arrive! As part of the day's unique offerings, participants will also enjoy period childrens games on the lawn, led by our knowledgeable docents, adding a fun and educational twist to the day's experience.
In addition, Sandwich Artisans will host a Fine Arts and Crafts Juried Event on the Sandwich Public Library lawn, featuring local artisans showcasing their unique handcrafted works, perfect for anyone looking to take home a special piece of Sandwich’s artistic heritage.
As part of the celebration, combination tickets will be available for the 2025 season, granting access to tours of the Hoxie House, Grist Mill, Nye House, and Wing Fort Museum. These tickets are a fantastic way to explore even more of Sandwich’s rich history throughout the summer.
