Join us for an evening of art and history at the Sandwich Public Library. The event will feature an exhibit of student artwork inspired by the Hoxie House, showcasing the creativity and local talent of the area. Additionally, professional artists will display their open-air paintings of the Hoxie House, and these stunning pieces will be available for purchase. Author and historian Christie Lowrance will share her research on Hoxie House, exploring early Sandwich, the house's controversial age (and its mysterious dated brick), and its unique construction features, offering attendees a deeper understanding of this iconic building and its significance in Sandwich's history.
Please note that although the May 15th event is free, registration is required due to limited seating. Light refreshments will be provided, and we encourage everyone to register early to secure their spot.
