Joe Mongelli, trumpet, flugelhorn and cornet -

Joe has been a mainstay in the Cape jazz community since moving to Harwich full-time in 2015. His groups, the Joe Mongelli Jazz Trio and The Cape Jazz Crew, have performed sold-out concerts recreating the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Frank Sinatra, Ruby Braff, and Art Blakey at many Cape venues. This summer’s show, Horace Silver, Jazz Giant is featured at the Cotuit Center for the Arts Tangletuit outdoor stage and at the Arts Alive Festival in Falmouth. His 2016 CD WashAshore received high critical acclaim for creative arrangements, stellar ensemble playing, and inspired improvisation. It can be heard on Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music and is available on Amazon.

Gary Gross, guitar -

Gary moved to the Cape from NYC in the late 90’s. He is a Berklee Guitar Performance Alumni. While on the Cape, Gary taught Jazz Studies at both Falmouth and Sturgis High Schools. He has been a Studio Musician, Teacher, and Coach for over 35 years.

Rod McCauley, bass -

Rod is in considerable demand as a performer, teacher, and educator in the communities of southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. He has appeared with some of New York’s best-known and prestigious jazz musicians, including singer Maxine Sullivan, drummer Bobby Rosengarden, guitarist Vic Juris, and pianist Walter Bishop Jr. as well as such instrumentalists as Bob Wilber, Randy Johnson, Max Kaminsky, and Bob Mover. Over the years he has also performed with such musicians as the late cornet/trumpet player Ruby Braff, guitarists Jon Wheatley and Gray Sargent, Clarinet/Sax player Dick Johnson, trumpeter and educator Herb Pomeroy, and pioneering alto saxophonist Lee Konitz. His big band work includes a stint with the Artie Shaw Orchestra.

All concerts are held outside, under the tent in our sculpture garden. In case of rain, the concert will be held inside the museum in our spacious gallery. No need to bring chairs, we have plenty for everyone! Feel free to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on our lawn before the concert!
