One thing is for sure... Sugar doesn’t like to be ridden. Whenever Sugar is approached with a saddle she quickly lies down and then pretends to be asleep. She even keeps her eyes closed until the riders move on...
Some people on social mead freaked and didn't think horses lie down but in fact many sleep that way... It's just Sugars was of getting out of work..

Unfortunately pretending to sleep to get out of work doesn't work for us humans...
