Starbucks Introduces 'Oleato' Olive Oil Coffee to 11 More US States

Olive oil in coffee sounds kind of strange, but apparently it’s a big hit at Starbucks overseas, so now it’s coming to a shop near us.

The coffee company has unveiled a whole new lineup of specialty drinks at their stores here in the United States.

They’re called Oleato beverages, and they were launched back in February in Italy. They were a success there so Starbucks decided to expand the line to Southern California, Japan, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom.

The beverages blend Starbucks’ arabica coffee with Partanna extra virgin olive oil from Italy, which the company says “creates an entirely new experience.”

The olive oil-infused line includes:

  • Oleato cafe latte: light roast espresso infused with extra virgin olive oil and steamed with oat milk
  • Oleato iced shaken espresso: coffee beverage featuring toffee nut, espresso, and oat milk, infused with extra virgin olive oil
  • Oleato golden foam cold brew: extra virgin olive oil-infused cold foam atop cold brew

Starbucks announced yesterday it is expanding the coffee line into 11 new states including Florida, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
