Rod Stewart, the iconic 81-year-old singer, sparked concern among fans after pausing his concert to use an oxygen tank on Friday (June 19) at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah. During the performance, Stewart appeared unwell, doubling over before staff brought out an oxygen tank to assist his breathing backstage.
According to People, Stewart addressed the audience, jokingly acknowledging that he nearly fainted. Despite the incident, he finished the concert seated. The event follows a series of health-related cancellations and rescheduling of shows, including those in his Las Vegas residency and his One Last Time Tour. Stewart had previously canceled shows due to an acute upper respiratory infection, resulting in laryngitis.
Stewart faced criticism after being spotted at a Scotland World Cup game in Boston shortly after canceling a concert for health reasons. He later apologized to fans on Instagram, expressing disappointment over the cancellations and promising to return to the stage soon.
Despite recent health challenges, Stewart remains committed to completing his tour and engaging with fans across the U.S.
