Sandwich and Massachusetts State Police are investigating after human remains were found inside of a burning SUV Monday morning.
When firefighters and police arrived at the scene along Quaker Meetinghouse Road, they discovered the remains and the Medical Examiner's Office was notified.
Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois says the investigation is active, but there is no threat to public safety.
