Martha's Vineyard Girl Receives First Eagle Scout Honors

A Martha’s Vineyard girl is the first young woman to become an Eagle Scout for the Cape and Islands chapter of the Scouts since the Boy Scouts of America began accepting girls.

Ingrid Moore, from Chilmark, achieved the Scouts’ Eagle Rank, what makes it even more impressive since she completed Eagle rank in about two years.

The scouts only began accepting girls in 2019.

To earn the rank, a scout has to earn 21 merit badges at a minimum.
