Army Soldier Killed In Korean War Will Be Buried In Bourne

An army soldier who was killed in the Korean War will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Bourne.

The U.S. Department of Defense says the remains of Lieutenant Thomas Redgate, who was from Brighton, were formally identified after North Korea turned them over in 2018 following the summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-Un.

Redgate went missing in 1950, the first year of the three-year war.

The burial has been set for September 17th.
