A reminder for you this long Fourth of July weekend, --- you are likely to see more of a presence from the Mass Environmental Police on the waters in the area.
They are participating in Operation Dry Water.
The holiday is known not only for the increased numbers of recreational boaters on the water, but for an increase in the number of injuries and deadly accidents related to boating under the influence according the police.
They will be out along with the Coast Guard looking for impaired operators and to keep the waters safe now through the rest of the weekend.
