The median price of a house sold on The Cape in August is just shy of 400-thousand dollars.
The Register of Deeds Office says that it is because of all the activity on the higher end of the market with people still buying homes because of the low interest rates.
The experts say they don’t know how long those lower rates will continue. Housing sales jumped a little more than six percent in August, year over year.
